What a careful Medicare conversation should look like in 2027

Learn the Medicare marketing, privacy, call-recording, and cross-selling safeguards consumers should expect when speaking with an agent in 2027.

How to read this guide

This is general educational information, not a plan quote, coverage determination, medical recommendation, or promise of eligibility or savings. Facts were checked against the official sources listed below and are current as of August 14, 2026.

Medicare and life insurance stay in separate sales conversations

CMS prohibits marketing non-health-care products during a Medicare Advantage sales activity or presentation. Boyd Financial Group therefore keeps Medicare and life insurance sales conversations separate.

A consumer can ask to schedule a different life insurance conversation, but a Medicare appointment should not turn into an unexpected pitch for life insurance or another non-health product.

Know when a call is being recorded

CMS requires covered Medicare marketing and sales calls, including the audio portion of web-based calls, to be recorded and retained in their entirety for at least six years. The first three years must remain in audio format; the later years may be retained as audio or complete, accurate transcripts.

Call recording is an operational requirement. A website statement by itself does not prove that every downstream phone process is compliant, which is why call handling must also be reviewed outside the website.

Your information should not become a hidden resale lead

CMS rules restrict sharing personal beneficiary data for marketing or enrollment. A clear disclosure and prior express written consent are required before information is transferred for those purposes.

This site does not use an online lead form. Do not send a Social Security number, Medicare number, bank information, or detailed health information by ordinary email. Start with a phone call and ask what secure process will be used if sensitive information is needed.

You can always use an independent government source

For information about all Medicare options, visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE. Calling or emailing Boyd Financial Group carries no obligation to enroll and does not affect current Medicare coverage.
